Worried about Malware?

If you are using Windows 7 and are looking for a good anti-virus product, try Microsoft's Security Essentials. It's free and a very good anti-virus tool. I've used it for years and recommend it to all my clients. You can locate the link to download it from the Microsoft site. Go to Windows 7 Security Essential and download and install it. It will ask you to run an update and then will scan your pc. Let it. Follow any directions the program provides if it encounters any malware.

Another excellent free product is Malwarebytes. There is a free version and a paid version. The free version will work for most people however if you feel more protected with the paid version, then go for it. Go to AntiMalware and select the free or paid version. Once you download it and install it, the product will ask to scan your machine. Let it do it's thing. If you are infected, it will find the infection and give you options on what to do to fix it.

If you have Windows 10 or 11, your machine comes with Windows Defender, part of the same Microsoft family of anti-virus tools. But you can add Malwarebytes to your system as well. The two products cohabit well on your machine.

There are numerous other products (try googling antivirus products) but for my money and peace of mind I use either Security Essentials or Defender depending on my machine's operating system. If you want more info, contact me.
